Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Tamil as well as Telugu film, as well as to a few Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award as Best Actress in the year 2018 for her portrayal of actress Savitri, who appeared in the Telugu movie Mahanati. There were three SIIMA Awards were also given to her, as was the Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents include film producer G. Suresh Kumar & actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her first career was an actor for children. After completing her studies in fashion design, she returned to acting. The first time she starred in a leading role was in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy started working in projects that weren't Malayalam in 2015. She also signed up to appear in numerous Tamil films simultaneously. In 2015 she released A. L. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam and Vikramprabhu against one another. However, the films were not a success in the cinemas. It was necessary to withdraw of several films she was making in 2015 like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalai Vedam, to free up space for larger projects. In a short time she also worked alongside Sivakarthikeyan for Rajini Murugan, Remo and also played the lead for Prabhu Sool's Thodari alongside Dhanush. Her Telugu debut was planned as Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The film was delayed. Reports claim that Janakitho will debut in September 2020. The debut film was Nenu Sailaja in 2016 with actor Ram Pothineni. In January 2017, Keerthy appeared in Bairavaa in a film starring actor Vijay and directed by Bharathan.
