Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss born in California has an extremely wealthy family background. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman with a real estate business who later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her parents divorced in 1972. split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally lost. She joined her family's business when she was 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. She later set up her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team.
