Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 into the musically inclined family of Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. They are also cousins of the singer Dionne Warwick. As a child, she sang in her New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. At the age of she was 15years old, Houston was singing professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother in Chaka Khan's hit song in 1978 Im Every Woman. Later, she provided backing vocals to Jermaine Jackson and Lou Rawls and her mother. Her work as the featured vocalist of New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record companies including Arista, with which she signed in 1982 and continued to work for the remainder of her life. In 1985, Whitney Houston's debut album was one of the most successful debut albums ever. Her album featured several hits like How Will I Know You Give Good Love, Saving All My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping songs in succession which was more than the Beatles. The album itself sold 3 million copies during its debut album's first year of release in the US and then went on to make 25 million copies worldwide, earning them the first six Grammys. The Whitney album from 1987, featuring the tracks I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. It is The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the top-selling artists in history. Although the film and the performance of her in it were not highly praised the soundtrack album and her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the charts of albums and singles for months, and was sold at 44 million copies all over the world. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown together in March 1993. Around this time when her well-documented drug use began and by 1996 she was an everyday addict.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman and reporter for the political section of CNN. She has also produced several of the network's Saturday programs such for instance Evans & Novak' Late Edition as well as Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels before, including NBC and CBS. Her awards and accolades include her inclusion on the Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. Bash is highly regarded for her incredible ability as a anchor and reporter. Also, she's a lovely father to her son despite being a graduate from George Washington University.
