Ann Turkel

They live in a home with Samantha (above) and Olivia in Beverly Hills. Ann Turkel's former husband Richard Harris has passed away after only 8 years of marriage, and 20 years divorce. Turkel was born in the midst of a Jewish family, and was raised through her maternal grandmother in Manhattan. By the age of 16, she was studying under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton, both at the Neighborhood playhouse, as well as at in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann Turkel is a multi-faceted entertainer whose career spans motion pictures, TV models, business and more. Growing up in Manhattan, Ann always had an aptitude for entertaining. She began dance lessons in the age of 5 and pursued her studies in art through college. Her grandmother is the one she credits for encouraging her artistic activities. Ann began her formal education through studying singing, acting, and dancing. At the age of sixteen, Ann had studied at the Musical Theatre Academy and the Neighborhood Playhouse with some of the most prominent acting coaches within the city like Sandy Meisner and Philip Burton. Ann started singing in highschool together with her fellow students and eventually formed the group. The Pajama Game " and West Side Story were among her plays performed in the Berkshire Playhouse, Stockbridge in Massachusetts. It was while performing in her band for an event for fashion that Ann was found through Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. Within a week editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her first Vogue cover using photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among the United States' most well-known models, appearing on the covers of top magazines, including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and many others. Ann modeled successfully for cosmetics companies like Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe within two years.
